Hermann Gmeiner Schools

The HGS schools are working in collaboration with Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, Provincial/District Education Youth and Sports, and NGOs/IOs who are working in the same field of education. Since the inception of schools by providing scholarship assistances to Family Strengthening Program’s children families and other vulnerable marginalized children families.

Hermann Gmeiner School in Angkor Siem Reap (HGS-ASR)

It was built in December 2003 and  officially opened on September 2004. The school is located in Mondul 3 Village, Sangkat Slar Kram, Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province. The school is operating the full-day classes from Kindergarten to Secondary levels. Total 520 students including 166 students in scholarship program.

Hermann Gmeiner School in Battambang (HGS-BB)

It wasas built in 2008 and officially opened in 2009, the school is located in Anchanh Village, Sangkat Ochar, Krong Battambang,  Battambang Province. The school is operating the full-day classes from Primary to Secondary levels. Total 466 students and 129 students in scholarship program

Hermann Gmeiner School in Phnom Penh (HGS-PP)

It was built in 2010, located in Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmei, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh Municipality, Cambodia. The school is operating the full-day classes from Primary to Secondary levels. Total 384 students and 128 students in scholarship program.

Vocational Training

Vocational Training Center was built in 2004, located in Mondul 3 Village, Sangkat Slar Kram, Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province. Each batch of training equipped with 4 skills included 1) Electricity, 2) Water System, 3) Wooding, and 4) Welding. Each batch consists of 24 students per year, until now there are 14 batches of training consists of 300 students had been graduated from our program and all of them are employed. About 96% are employed in hotels, restaurants and other private companies which 10% are supervisors with the salary between USD 150 and USD 700. And the remaining 4% are running their own businesses with the income at least USD 500 per month.
